What type of warranty does SMH provide?

Schuber Mitchell Homes goes above and beyond what's required by the state of Missouri and provides a 10-year structural warranty on every home. 

When do I need to set up warranty visits from SMH?

A SMH staff member will contact the new homeowner 30 days after move in and again for a final inspection at 1 year after move in to schedule warranty service visits for non-emergency items.

Who do I contact for an emergency warranty issue?

Please call 417-626-7000 with an emergency service request. If it is after business hours, please refer to the paperwork you were provided at Orientation for appropriate contact information. 

What qualifies as an emergency item?

Emergency items include situations such as: Total loss of heat or air. Total loss of electricity. (Check with the utility company before reporting this circumstance to SMH, LLC or electrician.) Total loss of water. (Check with the water department to be certain the problem is not a general outage in the area.) Plumbing leak that requires the entire water supply to be shut off. Gas leak. (Contact your utility company or plumber if the leak is at the furnace or water heater supply lines.)

Are my appliances covered under my warranty?

The manufacturer’s warranty will cover all appliances in your brand-new home.
