Position Summary
The Build Intern supports and contributes to the daily construction process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Delivers quality and value through the daily completion of assigned tasks
Fosters positive working relationships with build team members and trade partners
Learns the primary aspects of a five-phase production build process
Attends daily production meetings
Utilizes the company’s enterprise resource planning technology system
Learns how to conduct a detailed and timely inspection and check for quality
Ensures the home site is clean at every stage, every home, with every trade
Develops an organizational system that encourages efficiency
Tracks and communicates assignment progress with the supervisor
Completes training program in 3 months
Qualifications and Skills
Construction experience preferred but not required
Strong problem-solving and time management skills
Ability to learn new software and utilize company HB1 system
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Must be at least 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle
Hours & Schedule
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Works outdoors in a non-temperature-controlled environment, with medium to high noise levels
Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit in a vehicle
Occasionally required to climb, lift, pull, and push objects up to 50 pounds
